Brunch at Gaslight Brasserie in the South End

It was a beautiful Sunday in Boston today, and I started off my day going to brunch with my cousins in the South End. Gaslight Brasserie actually came up to be top when I was Yelping to find a good brunch place to eat.

When I went into the restaurant, I absolutely loved the atmosphere - like what Carolina said, it reminded you of the cartoon, "Ratatouille" because of the decoration, furniture and the kind of music they were playing in the background.

The food was great, but the service wasn't up to par. The food took too long to come, and when our appetizer finally came, we had no plates to eat. We waited, and waited... and finally, we flagged the hostess down to bring us some plates.

Le Mareyeur Paris
assortments of raw oysters, shrimp cocktails and crabmeats

bloody mary \ mimosa \ matin martini
Of course, I had to give "bloody mary" another try... this time around, it was good!

Vanilla French Toast stuffed with sweet fromage blanc and maple syrup
This was beyond deliciousness - even without the syrup, this was really good. The french toast was very fluffy!

Seared rare yellow fin tuna with piperade, hummus and warm flatbread
The fish was really fresh, it melted in my mouth.

Steak & eggs* with rosemary black pepper biscuit and gravy
The steak was a little burnt, but the gravy made up for it! I think I can eat another 2 biscuits because it was so good!

Until then... good eats!
